The successful applicant will perform a variety of functions related to materials management and sample making, as well as providing assistance to the CTP plate making area. (S)he ensures conformance to all Health and Safety Policies, Rules and Regulations and general housekeeping standards. (S)he is expected to meet or exceed production, efficiency and quality requirements at all times.
The Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all electrical issues on production equipment, as well as maintaining electrical systems on the physical building structure.
Strathcona Paper L.P. produces and markets high quality paper based specialty products and services. The Mill operation located in Napanee, Ontario, is currently accepting applications from candidates who would like to work as part of our Labour Pool classification.
The successful candidates must demonstrate an ability to operate several different types of specialized equipment and processes in the manufacture of clay coated boxboard. The candidates must be able to communicate effectively, work within a crew based environment and demonstrate an aptitude to work safely. The classification requires working in various Mill departments, being flexible to work varied shift schedules (7 days a week / 24 hours a day) and responding to call-in situations to service the Mill’s operational requirements.
The successful candidate will join our award-winning packaging devleopment team working in our brand new innovation centre located in Kitchener, Ontario. Utilizing the most advanced technologies, our PacDev team collaborate with some of the worlds largest brands to design innovative folding carton packaging.
The Structural Designer is responsible for both executing design requests within our production capabilities as well as exploring innovative design and functional possibilities. This person is also responsible for developing multi-up layouts while taking all aspects of the converting process into consideration, including material costs.
The Prepress Technician is responsible for supporting the workflow of the prepress department. The Prepress Technician also ensures conformance to all Health and Safety Policies, Rules and Regulations and general housekeeping standards. Meets or exceeds production, efficiency and quality requirements at all times.
Reporting to the Die Making Supervisor, the Tooling Designer is responsible for creating the files that will be output to the Gerber, BSI Grid Bender and the Idea Rule Processor for the manufacture of all tooling and dies used internally within our Die Cutting department.
