    • A college certificate, diploma, university degree, or equivalent in human resources
    • Familiarity with Employment Law, Employment Standards Act, and other Ontario legislation
    • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook 2016 (will be tested on Excel)
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner
    • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, multi-tasking, manufacturing environment


    Working alongside other Human Resources professionals and reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will assist with the following duties:

    • Maintenance of training records and matrix
    • Recruitment activities including candidate screening, interviewing, and reference checks
    • Employee onboarding and orientation
    • Maintenance of the temporary labour pool
    • Participation on Company committees (Social, Wellness, Green Committees, etc.)
    • Daily HR administrative tasks including drafting employee communication, notices, issuing vouchers, writing employment verification letters.
    • Maintenance of confidential personnel files and completion of employee paperwork
    • Other special projects as required
