    The General Laborer must successfully complete a color blindness test. This is a physically demanding position. Applicants must be able to safely perform repetitive lifting and work at a fast pace. This is an entry level position, with opportunity to advance and grow with the company.


    This is a full-time, contract position.


    The General Laborer is responsible for a variety of duties within the facility (Baler, Casemaking, Stock Moving and Aerating). He/she ensures conformance to all Health and Safety Policies, Rules and Regulations and general housekeeping standards. Meets or exceeds production, efficiency and quality requirements at all times.


    Summary of essential job functions and responsibilities:

    • Casemaking – lift boxes of product and place on skids according to customer specifications. Label cases and ensure they are sealed correctly.
    • Stock Moving – move stock using hand pump and walkie. Use the guillotine to cut various sizes of paper. Use the scanner to track inventory.
    • Follow all work instructions.
    • Operate the wrapper.
    • Use electric walkie to move product within and between departments.
    • Assist Adjusters and other Operators in the Finishing department.
    • Perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance on equipment regularly.
    • Monitor supply levels and order through the Finishing Manager as needed.
    • Responsible for knowing Finishing lockout procedures.
    • Perform general housekeeping and other related duties as required.
    • Work rotating, 12 hour shifts on a continental schedule, or a rotational 8-hour shift schedule
